Meet Jocelyn Vance

Vance currently lives in Ottawa, Canada, with her partner of eight years and their seven-year-old daughter, Maya. The family shares their home with two beloved rescue dogs—an energetic Border Collie mix named Ranger and their sweet-natured Golden Retriever, Lola, who serves as Vance's constant writing companion and unofficial therapy dog.

A devoted dog lover, Vance frequently advocates for animal rescue organizations and has fostered over a dozen dogs over the years. "Lola actually helped me understand unconditional love in a way that deeply influenced the partnership magic in my books," she shares with a laugh.

When not writing, Vance enjoys hiking mountain trails with her family and dogs, community gardening (she's particularly proud of her heirloom tomato varieties), and indulging in her favorite fruit—fresh peaches, which she claims provide essential inspiration during summer writing sessions. She's actively involved in local social justice work and regularly donates a portion of her book proceeds to trauma healing organizations and animal rescues.

Her dream is to have eight big dogs and a bigger family.

Vance is currently working on the sequel to The Night of the Dragons Series, which will explore how partnership networks handle larger-scale challenges while maintaining their core values of consent and mutual growth. She's also developing a companion series that examines the real-world applications of "partnership magic" principles in community building and relationship development.
